Infertility can be a very distressing time, both for men and women. This profile looks for the hormonal imbalances that can lead to infertility in men. It includes luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) tests, both of which examine your pituitary function, and a measure of testosterone levels together with a prolactin test. The profile also addresses your sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which gives a good indication of your androgens levels.
